Government Relations

The Firm has an extensive practice in government relations. The Firm represents a variety of non-profits, corporations, trade associations and local government agencies before federal, state, county and city bodies. The Firm’s Government Relations group has over 100 years of combined legislative experience in Minnesota. Most members of the group have served in the executive or legislative branches of government. The Firm has strong relationships with the Governor, Attorney General, Legislature, and with key members of the staff in these offices. As well as having a strong presence at the Minnesota Capitol, the Government Relations group works closely with elected officials and administrative and regulatory bodies at the state, county and local levels. During the legislative session, most members of the Government Relations group are at the Capitol every day. This approach allows us to cover virtually every legislative committee at the Capitol, as well as providing us with the ability to develop relationships with as many legislators as possible. Finally, it allows us to commit significant resources quickly to an issue or vote that might arise unexpectedly.

Sub-Practice Areas
